What does it all mean?
Vintage – this is the word that is used most in fashion. It means something old, most often from a previous era. It is present in clothes, cars, furniture or in our case in the lamps. The thing comes from the last era and is preserved in perfect condition, has its own style that is unique. Nowadays, it means doing things on the old style of the last century. However, here you will find only original vintage style lighting. These are lamps from the 1920s and 1980s. All are original and adapted to the current standards of safety and use. We replace all electrical and technical components. In this way we keep the original shape of the lamp ready for use. Choose from among many categories of lamps, we have hanging, floor, wall, desk lighting and other occasional models available. This lighting becomes more unique and noble over time. This is a great way to create something individual. It’s a style for decisive people and for those who know how to combine old vintage lights with modern interiors. Great combinations of styles can be seen in restaurants or bars.
After several decades, the style has changed, most of our lamps come from industrial areas like various mines, factories and many other objects. These lamps were manufactured to meet specific requirements. Old explosion-proof lights were produced that protected the bulb from damage and worked well in mines. They were created from other materials and very hard resistant glass breakage. On the other hand, for a large bakery or other old industrial building, factory lighting was produced. They were smaller, lighter and also made up of different materials, most commonly steel, aluminum and cast iron (which is resistant to corrosion). The lamp cover was very often covered with enamel, which is characterized by very interesting colors. Today, lamps are produced at the cheapest cost to be lightest and consume less power. Today’s factory lights are ugly and no one would want to have one at home or restaurant.
Retriko was created for one purpose, we don’t make lamps – we find them and then renew to modern industrial lighting standards.
However, after renovating old lamps, we adapt all industrial lighting products to energy saving light bulbs.
